January 3rd - Day 20 at The Stinehour Press
Well before we begin for this year let's talk about a few things from last year. While this site and updates on the making of the book was started for friends and family to know what we are doing here, it has clearly turned into more. The final week before Christmas we had over 2,000 hits on the Vermont pages alone! So there are a lot of you out there interested in this project! Thanks! Now if all of you would just order the book.....(check out that link on the main page!) And so the journey continues....
Rich and I arrived on separate flights back in Manchester, as Rich was coming back from Salt Lake City, Utah and me from Chicago. We arrived Sunday night to rain, which quickly turned to sleet and snow and a big ice storm. The usually 2 hour drive from Manchester to Lancaster took almost 4 hours. But we made it and were at The Stinehour Press by 7:30 am ready to see the first sheet of the new year and found the folks at Stinehour were ready for us too!
The ice made for a fun time getting to the press for everyone.
Marti the mini-moose gets a lift back from Chicago...afterall he had a big time on his working vacation. We're wondering what John is whispering to him upon our arrival...
Kevin had a press sheet for us to approve almost immediately and ran it after a few color changes. We approved a second sheet about 2 p.m. In the meantime we looked at a few image proofs with John and set up our East Coast offices once again...
Setting up the east coast offices again...and pretending to actually be working....
The view of the ice storm out our window - as taken through the screen, because let's face it - it was nasty out there...
Finally it was the end of the day. A great start to the new year working on the book!

Now some of you might actually be thinking - hey, what about Marti the mini-moose...well for the further adventures of Marti the mini-moose click here...Marti the mini-moose's night out.
