Getting Ready - The Pre-Production Process

The Studio back in Evanston, Illinois

We spent months going over proof prints of the photographs sent by John Stinehour. We would mark them up and indicate to John what changes we wanted made. He would make the corrections and send prints back for approval. So we went back and forth from transparency to print making small corrections which John faithfully followed to get an exact match to each transparency. On this, the last day of proofing before leaving for Vermont we were fortunate to have Gordon Nickel here to take some shots of the process. Thanks Gordon!
A few old cameras on the ledge in the studio - photo by Gordon.
Hmmmm. What should we tell John about this one? More magic please!
